DIXSON was the first male R&B act signed to the historic Roc Nation label.
the artist used his 2nd EP opportunity to reject R&B in favor of the dance + pop-leaning work he was doing in writer's rooms.
ideologically, this was a commentary on the siloing of black music into the R&B category, 
& DIXSON's statement that black music is indeed pop music, genre-less & ubiquitous.
the project has climbed to 32 million worldwide streams since release.
